- Built the enterprise AI search platform end-to-end: 5 ECS services, hybrid RAG with pgvector, 21+ data connectors, and LiteLLM routing across 100+ models with cross-account Bedrock access
- Built SPRS (Statutory Position Reconciliation System) with FastAPI + Next.js, replacing a manual spreadsheet process for WHS compliance across mining sites
- Mentoring engineers on Git workflows, Python patterns, and CI/CD pipelines

- Built Bulky, a data management platform on AWS Fargate (FastAPI, Next.js, Redis, 19 Terraform modules) that replaced Excel macro workflows across 6 mining sites
- Wrote 19 Terraform modules, Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines, and multi-environment deployment across DEV/STG/PRD
- Added document intelligence (OCR) and a RAG system to Bulky for automated data extraction
- Built an AWS IoT SiteWise Model Builder for the AI team: concept to deployed demo in 1 week
- Took over the In-Trade commodities trading app, fixed all outstanding bugs, and removed the need for an external vendor
- Ran application support for Ampla and Minemarket across all operational sites, including on-site at KCGM fixed plant

ABOUT
I'm Ben. I work as an AI Engineer at an ASX-listed mining and services company in Perth, Australia.
I finished my CS degree at Edith Cowan University in 2025 and joined the graduate program. Ten months in, I got pulled into a dedicated AI engineering role based on what I'd shipped during the rotations.
Most of my day-to-day is building internal platforms end-to-end. Terraform infrastructure, Python/FastAPI backends, Next.js frontends, RAG pipelines, LLM routing. I like owning the full stack from the cloud account to the UI.
Outside of work I'm usually building side projects or hiking somewhere with bad cell service.
